I like meeting interesting people who have ways of looking at the world that are different from my own, and being reminded that most people are usually pretty good.

I love being around the natural world - particularly woods, I find it is good for my soul. I like to find out what other people think is good for their soul, and what they are passionate about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have done a decent bit of travelling, but I want to do more and Couchsurfing seems like a brilliant way of doing that while meeting interesting folks from around the world.

I really value being able to see a place from the perspective of people who live there, too. It is so often so distinct from what visitors see.

Interests

Outdoorsy things: camping, sleeping under the stars, hiking, bushcraft, mountaineering. Done a bit of rock climbing too, which I would like to do more of. This stuff is my main hobby really - I am at my happiest when sat around a campfire with my mates and sleeping under the stars.

History: I am a bit of a nerd and talking rubbish about history for extended periods tends to make me quite happy.

On a different note, I am very into learning about innovative answers to the social problems of the modern world. This is related to my work, and is something I am quite passionate about.

I am also a Liverpool FC football fan.
