Overview
About Me
I have recently completed a PhD in black holes and theoretical physics and now I've moved onto a houseboat and I'm exploring the English countryside.
I made couchsurfing years ago when I travelled a lot, but then I found myself bounded by my job with little free time. I'm excited to meet some new people again!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be slowly voyaging around England, sometimes far from friends, so it will be nice having new people to talk to occasionally. Narrowboats are also a cute little part of English history that I think it's nice to share.
Interests
Most my interests involve being creative or being outdoors which I haven't been able to do much of whilst completing the PhD which is why I'm happy now to be doing something else which requires far less hours!
- cooking
- baking
- running
- painting
- hiking
- science
- climbing
- veganism
- video making
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in the jungle for 6 weeks working with rescued howler monkeys and a jaguar named Ru. They had all been mistreated in the pet trade or circus and our goal was to give them the best life they could have.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you about the workings of the universe or perhaps how to live on and drive a boat.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The chance to experience boat life and see some of the English countryside right outside London.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Bolivia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Northern Ireland, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, United States, Wales
