About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life to the fullest possible extent which includes lots of new friends from everywhere, all ages, and all walks of life. I have traveled the world over and still haven't figured out who I am, except that I'm a pretty decent me and that's good enough

ABOUT ME

Long computer and management consulting background, including working with national health systems primarily in 3rd and 4th world nations in the '80's. Divorced for a number of years. Us citizen but don't care to live in the US, prefer 2nd world to first. Life has the right "tempo" here. And that's the really important thing.

PHILOSOPHY

Yes. I think. I am.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming:
"WOW -- What a Ride!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a traveler, host, and volunteer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Made many friends around the world in the '80's and we always stay with each other when possible. Couchsurfers just widens the possibilities. I have made many friends from many countries as a CS host. How good is life!!!

Interests

Yes!! The "What I am not interested in" is a shorter list, for which I can think of no entries at the moment.

  • culture
  • books
  • cooking
  • medicine
  • volunteering

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't like soap operas or most country music. Me and my banjo do folk and mountain music (cervesa helps the sound a lot!). Everything else is fair game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunset from the porch of my mountain home in Monteverde, Costa Rica. And that's at the bottom of a very long list for a truly amazing world full of amazing people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn more about other cultures from people, not from books. Actually, very few things don't fascinate me. I hope that I never lose my child-like wonder at the universe. what an extraordinary place and time to be alive!!!! I can teach about cooking, natural medicine and, well, lots of "stuff"!

I can teach about my culture, I have an extensive computer, management, and natural medicine background (I'm not an ND, however, only 25 years of study). And I love to share.
