About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To survive grad school and get as much out of life as I can.

ABOUT ME

I have 8 siblings, and I'm good friends with all of them. I'm passionate about solar energy which is what I'm studying, and I'm a fitness nut when I don't have an active injury. Michigan is where I call home, however there is still much of the world I need to see before I go back there.

PHILOSOPHY

Life can be funny sometimes. Be yourself and always enjoy the little things.

Travel

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a few unofficial surfing experiences before joining this site. One Christmas break I took a road trip out east and planned to sleep in my car at night. Wherever I stopped I made new friends and often they would offer to let me crash on their couch rather than sleep in my car. It was a really cool experience and I got to meet people I would not have been able to otherwise.

Interests

My interests are fairly eclectic, ranging from studying physics, mountain biking, snowboarding, and live bands, to microbrews, and meeting new people. Ann Arbor is great for getting a craft beer at a bar and striking up a conversation with a total stranger and I've met many different kinds of people that way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Autobiographies are my favorite but I do enjoy the occasional novel. I've also found books inspired by travel adventures are fun too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know how amazing this is but it's one of my favorite things I've done. I once slept on a desolate beach on the pacific ocean on the Olympic peninsula in the state of Washington. One of the arches lined up perfectly with the sun as it was setting and made for a great picture.
