I mostly travel with my girlfriend - Katie, so we are mostly searching for an occupation for the two of us.

Me and my girlfriend started to travel some time ago and we like to get to know more about different countries and different people. And in my opinion, Couchsurfing is one hell of a place to get to know cool people in their home environment. I think that you cannot truly explore the beauty of a different place than home, if you are in an isolated environment (such as a large hotel).
