Hey everyone!! My name is Georgia, I'm 26 years old and I come from the Isle of Man. I moved to Princeton, NJ in July 2016 to become an au pair! I have the best job in the world and I'm excited to explore the wonderful USA and see what adventures I get up to in the next couple of years! I would describe myself as fun, adventurous, friendly, kind and easy to talk to. I have a thirst for knowledge and experiencing new things! I like making people happy and living life to the full!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I want to travel and meet new people from different walks of life and I think this is a really good way of connecting with people who I may not of necessarily crossed paths with. I understand couch surfing is mainly used as a way to find places to stay for a night or whatever but I'm hoping to gain more than just having a 'couch' to crash on. I'm all about making new friends and experiencing different things so I think this would be a fabulous way of achieving that!

Music, Movies, and Books

I couldn't live without music!! I love all genres but my absolute favourite artists and bands are: Bruce Springsteen, Queen, David Bowie, Billy Joel, T-Rex, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Frank Sinatra, Eva Cassidy... The list goes on and on... Basically anything from the 1980's and earlier. I can't stand the music of today!! 👎🏼

I'm also a big fan of movies! My favourite ever movie is Leon but I'll watch anything with a good plot :)
The Departed, Reservoir Dogs, The Basketball Diaries, The Breakfast Club, Dead Poets Society, basically anything with Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino, Sean Penn, Robin Williams and Rob De Niro! I love Martin Scorsese movies too! My favourite genres are Comedies, Dramas and Thrillers! You can't beat a bit of Disney too!

I love to read and my favourite authors are Stephen King and John Grisham. Again, I'll read anything with a good plot! Also a huge Harry Potter fan!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm lucky to have done many amazing things and visited lots of cool places...
Being an au pair in America (obviously 😊) Skiing in Romania, clubbing in Ibiza/Turkey/Greece/Malia/Magaluf, travelled around many places in Canada, competed in Judo at the Island Games in Rhodes, Backpacking around Guatemala and climbing a volcano(!), Christmas in New York, Disneyland in Florida and much more!
