ABOUT ME

I am an easy going, independent and enthusiastic spirit who enjoys a laugh and also having a good deep philosophy exchange over a glass of wine. I value honesty and depth over ego, and try to be considerate and 'real' as I can with people. I love travelling, mostly for all the interesting people you can meet, as well as beautiful natural spaces to see, old cities to walk in and different cultures to experience. I love music, the arts in general and nature.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am just a surfer as I am travelling and have no couch to offer. But when I'm back in my homeland I will definitely continue in the splendour that is the world of couchsurfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a bit of a novice surfer but my experiences so far have been ace, including a ride on a red Vespa in Milan and tasting amazing nougat and finding wonderful friends just up the road from where I live.

Interessi

I love good music, quality conversation, beautiful sky at any time of day and vintage clothes. I love yoga, running, playing the piano, finding new music to listen to, going to art galleries and reading. And finding interesting and cool connections with people.

Musica, film e libri

Ah too much - at the moment very into Beirut, Beach House, Sigur Ros, Count Basie, the old jazz greats, minimalist, Norah Jones (always will be!), singer-songwriters who are a bit creative and intelligent, and of course lovely piano from any era!

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Going for a walk at sunrise with my favourite music playing gets me every time.
Also the Northern Lights in the north of Iceland, and seeing the sun set at 4pm from the top of a mountain in Finland.
Also playing a piano on a public viewing platform looking out across Lake Geneva.

Insegna, impara, condividi

Don't go to another country and expect it to be like home and criticize it when it's not! Accept that that is the way they do things whether you like it or not.:)
Take time to smile at older people
Listen to people when they talk to you and try to hear what they are not saying as well.
Take time to meditate each day.
Things I would love to learn: be an 'educated' wine taster, how to make macaroons, the best thing we as 'normal' people can do to save our planet, and how to play and sing like Nina Simone.
