Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is George.
I'm from the UK and love to travel although haven't had much of a chance in the last few years.
In July 2024 I will be travelling in my van around Eastern Europe and hoping to meet some cool people and see some interesting things.
I like to get involved in projects, in the past I have done Art for music festivals, making yurts, building stuff out of scraps of wood.
For work I am a potter and pottery teacher.
I really love traveling in2019 I drove accross America and did some couch surfing.
September 2015 I went to India for 2 months doing an artist residency which was amazing.
Looking forward to a new adventure!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people and gain local perspectives. I think it is easy to visit a place without really learning much about it if you don't meet the people who live there and keep to yourself.
I am generally quite a shy person but I like to push myself into situations where I can meet new people and gain experiences. I think Couchsurfing is really good for this.
Interests
Making sculptures, adventures, camping, art, music, road trips. I love water, any opportunity to swim in a lake or a spring or a river or the sea, I'm there!

If you would like to learn a new craft, I'm your gal.
I've tried a lot of them, (not saying I'm a pro at them all but) I can try and teach you or teach myself as we go along!
Textiles, printing, soldering, papier Mache, collage, and many other, open to learning more!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook you a traditional dish from the exotic damp corners of West Country England....
I can show you some art or jewelry I've made.
