About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pursuing a wild and adventurous youth to avoid later mid-life crisis

ABOUT ME

'Girl pursues adventurous youth to avoid future mid-life crises'. My name is Georgina. This year I've really begun to understand what is important to me: my family, old friends, and keeping my word. Even so, I am very curious about other people (their beliefs, their goals) and would like a conversation which is 70% of them talking, 10% of me talking, and 20% of a strange woman reciting love poetry in french whilst doing high-kicks, because that would make my day. (Interestingly, that happened to me 2 weeks ago).

If there is anything I want from life, it is to maintain good relationships, to learn how to be more generous, to take the path less-travelled and to push the comfort zone!

PHILOSOPHY

Be empathetic. Enjoy everything while you can. Know what is important. Compromise only where you want to. Scare yourself and don't be afraid of rejection: Rejects are the big winners, because they (we?:)) learn a lot more and have more realistic renditions of love in our novels, which then win Pulitzer prizes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I do not have a couch which is available for surfing. However, when I return to Australia(in Feb 2011) i will do so. I believe in travel karma and cultural exchange.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None official yet. But i have had some interesting experiences along similar lines. Last week I hosted my friend from Brazil until his return back home. Although the place is small, it worked fine: we developed a good routine to give each other space - sharing house chores and the occasional meal in the evening. That was my favourite part- getting to chat and compare our experiences.
