Overview
About Me
Hey, I am a 24 years old guy from Russia, Saint Petersburg, who enjoys travelling and making new friends all over the world (I wonder if there is a couchsurfer who doesn’t).
Last year I finished my two-year exchange program in Japan. I lived in Tokyo and Osaka, one year each, and studied social sciences at two Japanese universities (Osaka University and Hosei University). Now I am back in Russia.
To be honest, I miss the feeling of discovering something new about different people and cultures abroad, which I experienced almost every day in Japan. That kind of mental stimulation is something you can easily get addicted to 😅. Therefore, I decided to return to couchsurfing after a long break. This is why I would be happy to host someone from abroad or be hosted myself while traveling.
Random facts:
I hitchhiked alone in Russia, Europe, and Japan. Volunteered in Germany. Travelled to half the regions on Japan. Thanks to the people I met, all that turned out to be a very empowering and eye-opening experience that I will never forget
I recently started learning Python, although I earn a living by teaching Japanese and working as a tour guide. Hope it works out!
I can speak Russian, English and Japanese. 日本語も話せますので、日本の方、お気軽にご連絡ください。日常会話などはほぼ問題なくできます。

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, I climbed a volcano that was actually active, which I didn’t realize at the time. There was no lava or fire (luckily), but the volcano was still emitting sulfur and steam
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with housework, play the guitar, and sing some songs (I'm not a professional singer, but I sing from the heart). We can also cook some simple yet authentic Russian dishes together, like blini (a type of crepe). So far, no one from abroad has ever said they didn’t like it!
