I'm studious and quiet, but I like a pint or dram as well. I lived in the UK and Germany, among other places.
PHILOSOPHY

I'm a traditional sort of guy. I've been in universities
or research institutes for most of my life. Most people are interesting and basically good and decent.

I'll happily cook, or go to a restaurant or brew-pub.
I used to home-brew beer and need to get back to that.
I love discussing history and international events,
and like music of all types, both classical and at least
some pop. I'm not a fan of rap.

I like to meet people. They give meaning to life.

Interessen

I like travelling, history and languages. I also like cooking. I'm into cycling, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and hiking/nature. I love exploring cathedrals and castles. I'm big into astronomy,
science fiction and especially Star Trek and Big Bang
Theory. Scouting.

I flew on the Concorde once, to see the curvature of Earth.
I've applied to be an astronaut twice (but failed both times, like most).
I got a lot of good experiences being best man and being a godfather.
