Now retired, I'm a biologist by training, who switched to public relations in tech/science to end up in academic administration/management.
As pretty much everyone here I love travelling, especially if it involves some sort of activity, be it trekking or volunteer work. Long days at the beach bore me to tears... ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of getting to know a place a little better through the people that live there. As a regular tourist staying at a hotel you are a bystander, never really part of it. Plus, it's always nice to meet new people. You never know who you might run into.
