... us & the great outdoors, we are one - love yourself, love nature ...
Well, I'm coming from a little village called Rohrmoos in Austria, which is lying inmidst a big ski resort. I was born in winter in February 1984 that's probably why I love to ski with my friends. We got this little community running, which's called 'Ultimate Powder' and is basically just for our own fun :D - in the summer I like to go to rock festivals, I like to play the drums and do make music myself with some friends as well -> The Buttons.
recently I started climbing a bit, and I like to be out in the nature anyway: I'm doing slack lining sometimes and like to hike and mountain bike ... I'm also very interested in architecture, even if I don't have too much of a clue about it. Sometimes I just like to sit around and watch nature playing with our senses. Oh yeah, did I mention that I love skiing?
Here you can find information about the ski area where I live: http://www.4berge.at/

Don't really have a philosophy of life - I just take what comes next & leave the difficult stuff for GOD - and it works :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to give every kind of advice on locations I've been before and I feel familiar with. I also spread the word about CS everywhere I get :) I cannot provide a couch at the moment, but will do so as soon as I got my own apartment somewhere ...Free counters
I surfed several couches now via CS.com and it always has been a great experience - meeting also the friends of my hosts in their city! I also surfed several couches off CS.com at my friends in Austria (Vienna, Graz, Salzburg, Gaschurn, ...), Switzerland (St. Moritz, Zermatt), Canada (Calgary), the US (Walnut Creek, L.A., Winter Park), Sweden (Gotland, Jävle, Stockholm), Ireland (Wexford) and Spain (Valencia, Galicia, La Vera), which was always great fun and a great experience.
In gerneral my interests are skiing, music, swimming, skiing, mountain biking, slacklining, and mountain sports in general ... oh yeah, and skiing; another passion of mine is photography (find some more pictures on my flickr).
I love to go to music festivals, but rather small ones, where you feel like being part of a family ... I like travelling a lot, but too often I'm just lacking the money :(I like going to the movies - even alone - and watch just any film they are playing. roadtripping is also one of my passions - I just love sitting in a car (doesn't matter in which kind of car actually - I just like the feeling of having some road ahead that takes me to a place I haven't been before)what i REALLY, REALLY, REALLY love is good food, especially from home (Austrian food is just great), but also mediterranean style, like spanish and italian food - it should be well seasoned as well :)
Music, Movies, and Books
I now could name dozens of great movies so let's reduce it to some of my favourite actors: Kevin Spacey, Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Gabriel Byrne, Vinnie Jones, Edward Norton, Samuel L. Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson, ...I think "the usual suspects" is probably one of the best movies ever ... together with "into the wild".My music taste is everything around rock, hard & punk rock, metal, indie, grunge, but also a little bit of reggae, trip-hop, hip-hop, techno, electronic and classical music like Strauss & Mozart. My favourite band though is definitly P.O.D. from San Diego, California - more due to their attitude than their music actually! My favourite book overall is the Holy Bible - a good advice in any circumstance; I also admire Paolo Coelho for his writings; others ones I like are: The Medicus, Illuminati, Sound Of The Wind, The Angel's Game, The Pillars of the Earth, The White Wolf, ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to pick something - I think there's just too many things that are amazing ... EVERY DAY ... standing on top of a mountain is something pretty amazing in general I think ...the ink pots in Banff National Park are also something that impressed me very much - can't forget that intense turquoise. Standing on top of Dachstein's south rock face (approx. 900 m) is also quite impressive and gives you a feeling of how small humans really are. It also was great watching a NHL game from the 4 row behind one of the goals - it felt like almost being on the ice (THANK YOU DARRYL!!!).A very touching experience was to be hosted by Lila and Oman at their orphanage in Lalitpur, Nepal. Teach, Learn, Share
I don't think I'm a good teacher, but at least I'm able to think logically. Maybe I could help you with learning languages a bit (German, Spanish, a little Italian). I also love to share my experience and my thoughts about the world and what we could do to improve it, I also might teach you the basics of juggling or slacklining ... and PLEASE teach me to ice-skate.
