So, who am I? I am a South African, who loves my country, but I also have a special love for Europe. I am (obviously) a very keen traveller and I thrive from the rush of meeting new people, sharing stories and experiences.

I am about to start my PhD in Applied Mathematics in Bologna, and thought it may be a good starting point to add a Couchsurfing profile, especially considering the fact that I am still looking for accommodation.

I always struggle to form a description about myself on a platform like this, since I feel like I have so much more to offer than what I would like to put in words, if that makes any sense. Just know that I am neat, easy going, happy, friendly and always keen for a beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Let's not call it amazing, but in the last 18 months I have made a conscious effort to form friendships with individuals from other countries (especially Europe). I ended up taking a 40 day trip in the summer visiting all these friends. I ended up not paying a cent for accommodation, meanwhile visiting 7 countries and 11 cities. This is what I thrive on.
