Well, let me introduce myself briefly.
I can identify myself as social, friendly and intelectual,
but here is more for surfers,
Hospitable with a smiling face ... Enjoyable with a talent of cooking... Curious with a strong desire to learn... Intellectual with a sense of humor...
and also; good swimmer, bcyclist, chess player, gourmet, photographer, movie reviewer, story teller etc...
because of my profession, I am a strong reader on the fields of economic and social history. I enjoy following indepentdent movies, musics, stories, cuisines, cultures and customs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about couchsurfing from one of my firends last year. Then I became a member but not actively... Well for now, I hosted several surfers and had great time with them and still I have available couches for the surfers...
Also I intend to go for a interrail trip this summer. I hope to meet with new membners of this community...
i hosted lots of surfers and i have been in a small couchsurfing home meeting in Florance/Italy..
Bike, swimming, reading, movies, chess, music, photgraphy, languages... And I have a movie archieve including 2000 of movies.
i enjoy listening different stories, life experiences, cultural customs from different parts of the world. so, i enjoy meeting people from different cultures.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: all the independent movies. But especially, The Big Lebowski, La Haine, Amores Perros, City of God, Whisky, American Beauty, Annie Hall, Land and Freedom, Trainspotting, Hunger, Das Leben der Anderen, Amelie, Pans Lbyrinth, Children of Heaven, hane-i dost kocast, Masumiyet etc.
Music: Yann Tiersenn, Gustavo Santoalla, Thomas Newman, Haggard, Muse, Radiohead etc.
Books: Notes from Underground/Dostoyevky, All that is solid melts into air/Marshall Bermann, Postmodern Condition/David Harvey, Semerkant/Amin Maalouf etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been in towers of silence of Zartosht religious in the middle of a huge desert area in Yazd Province of Iran. This is a walled area on the top of a hill where Zartoshti people were used to locate dead bodies instead of burying them into the ground.
Teach, Learn, Share
First of all, I can teach my own languages (Turkish and Kurdish). Secondly, I am a good chess player and I can teach it. I will be happy to share my movie archive with the surfers.
And finally, I can teach preparing some of traditional foods and drinks.
