My name is Gert-Jan, I am 25 years old and I am from a small village in the North of the Netherlands. I am a very easy going, social and open-minded person. I love to travel and I am into sports. I currently live in Mexico and in the Netherlands and this summer I am traveling Europe with my Mexican girlfriend.

Couch-surfing is still rather new to me, but I would say it is never to late to start. On the other hand, I do have a lot of experience travelling and meeting people from all over the world.

After my very first backpacking trip to Australia, I realized that travelling is my biggest passion and that I won't stop travelling as long as I am physically able to.

I have always been interested in traveling and meeting people from different cultures and countries. It makes one realise how geographically small yet culturally big this world actually is. Besides that I love sports. To be more specific, I like football, surfing, running, cycling, tennis, scuba diving, skydiving and more... (unfortunately the last two are rather expensive otherwise I would dive way more often!).

Skydiving in Australia is still one of the most amazing things I've done so far. Besides that, swimming with whale sharks never ceases to amaze me.

I myself would love to learn more languages, and I would like to learn more about the history of this world and its cultures.

There are a lot of stories I can share, a lot of experiences while travelling.
