Becoming me
ABOUT ME
I am talkative, neither intro- nor extroverted, rather the kind of "nice-guy" who doesnt want to cause trouble to anyone. I can have quite a black humour though.
Currently I am in the middle of getting my education and really out on the quest of searching for whatever there is out there that can enrichen my life and evoke my passion.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just joined a little while ago and still lack any experience. But I love the idea and try to get around to meet many people and when I settle down again I am going to offer my couch to all lonesome travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A nice American hosting me and my girlfriend in Budapest.
Interests
Having other people around me for interesting conversations is my greatest pleasure I guess. I can be quite outgoing dancing nights through, but I like to have quiet times also. I love reading - everything from the great classics via fantasy / sci-fi to modern literature. I like music but I have no good taste yet- you will have to show me yours! I like cooking (and eating!). (I am a veggi-guy, but no worries here, not doing any missionary work;)
And well, travelling and living in different cultures is my passion.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am into fantasy books. But I also read classic literature and more modern stuff, for example Hemingway, Haruki Murakami and German literature such as Hesse.
I terms of music I like modern electronic music as well as stuff from decades ago like Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and so on. Oh Madonna is good as well and I am a triphop fan as well.
Then about movies I have some favourites like Tarantino and loads of Asian movies; modern (Infernal Affairs, Oldboy) as well as classics (Chinese Kung Fu, Kurosawa). Some other favourites include American Beauty, Memento, Leon, American History X, The Big Lebowski and as Japan fan of course some high class anime like Miyazaki movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I experienced the most touching travelling-moment of my life in Japan. Staying in a wooden house in the coutryside (aka middle of nowhere north of Hiroshima) with some friends. We went up a little road through a forest and up a hill. On the top we found an ancient Shinto-Shrine. It was the most beautiful and peaceful spot I had ever encountered. I stayed there for about 20 minutes just embracing the athmosphere and conserving the memory.
