I was born and raised in China until I was 14, and then moved to Canada and lived there for 9 years. I have also lived in Hamburg for 2 months, Paris for 6 months and am currently doing my PhD in Oslo.

Every new experience changes you as a person, every new person you meet has an impact on your life.

CS has helped me in more ways than I could have imagined when I first started. As shy of a person as I am, I would never talk to random strangers in my travels. As such, I would have missed a lot of opportunities to learn about the local culture and landscapes. CS bridged this gap for me. And it only makes sense to pay back by offering to host others (I started as a surfer).

This is exactly the kind of community I hope to live in: a community without monetary needs, illusions of power and status, but rather, we are all here to connect as human beings and help each other out.

I went 2km below the Earth's surface to work on a physics experiment.
