About Me

I’m an urban farmer, artist, and nature lover in SoCal, looking to connect with people who care about the planet and each other. I’m passionate about environmental and social justice and embrace my neurodivergence as part of who I am.

I value a minimalist lifestyle, sustainability, and building friendships with like-minded people. My work focuses on nature conservation, habitat restoration, and caring for the Earth in meaningful ways.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to connect with like-minded people and work together to change the world! We are more powerful when we come together and share ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and experiences. There is so much we don’t know about the world, and Couchsurfing has been a fantastic way for me to learn from the experiences of others.

Interests

I am interested in minimalism, being surrounded by nature, gardening, and hiking state parks.
I am passionate about photography and music, and enjoy playing the piano. I love to travel and learn about history, and use these experiences to further my knowledge of linguistic and cultural anthropology. I love to cook, and love exploring different flavors from around the world. I am also invested and enjoy living an active lifestyle, and love hiking, martial arts, and yoga. @ cactgus on IG

Music, Movies, and Books

No joke - I have watched fewer than 10 movies in my life. I’ve been told I’ve got quite a lot of catching up to do!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is really difficult for me to qualify one thing as amazing, when so much of my life has been so. But, if I had to relate just one amazing thing I’ve done, it would be encountering Earth's largest living creatures.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since we all come from different environments and experience different events and have unique perceptions of the world, there is always an opportunity to learn from anyone and everyone. Self-exploration is a lifelong process, and the value of wisdom should never be ignored. The only "dumb question" is the one not asked; thereby leaving us stagnant and unchanged.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share interesting conversations, perspective, life experiences, food, and time in nature. I am also an excellent listener, and enjoy hearing from others.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Lebanon, Maldives, Mexico, Oman, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Jordan, United States
