i love talking to people and finding new and interesting things to get excited about. if i haven't run across any new ideas or new things to see in a while, i start to feel dehydrated. my condition unfortunately seems to require me to change location at least once a year.

lots of "official" surfing in china and india, plus unofficial surfing and/or occasional hosting in north africa, france and the states.

books... i used to love to read to the point that i perhaps read too much, and at this point i think it's actually only the living in china that's helped me kick the habit. i'm ever so willing to start it up again if i can only get my hands on a good book, though.
movies... used to like stuff like woman in the dunes, fight club, the night porter, run lola run, irreversible. now i'm kind of tired of that genre-show me something new!
music... i like stuff from almost every genre. it's best if i haven't heard anything like it before or it sounds unusual.

i can tell you lots of travel stories and give you tips about living in china. if you like i can teach you some music (violin, and now erhu and leaf (that's right, like from a tree). we can also practice french, although mine is already getting rusty thanks to china. i'd like to hear your crazy travel stories, as well as book/music recommendations.
