PHILOSOPHY

Smell and taste are the hardest senses to communicate in writing. However, smell and taste do the most to spark memories and the mental capacities of us humans. Just seeing the world through pictures, or reading about in in books doesn't do enough. We need to get barefoot in the dirt. We need to stick our tongues out in the rain. We need to eat grass. We need to look at the ceiling of sky above us. Most importantly we need to breathe deeply. We need to do this in many places and many times in our life, otherwise we have wasted the handful of decades we might be blessed with. Earth is not Earth everywhere, especially on Earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just discovered this project. I hope to make use of it when I return home from my travels this summer. I'm not certain how often people would like to surf the midwest, but I hope to make some friends that will want to stay connected and even visit me in the US one day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed before I knew it was called couchsurfing it turns out. That was in High School and College and with friends.

Interests

Being funny, telling ridiculous stories, writing poetry and fiction, reading fiction and poetry and comic books, making and collecting art, visiting museums, sitting very still and listening, watching movies, listening to a lot of styles of music, going to sporting events, drinking and partying, loving and laughing, talking to animals, walking to walk, disc golf, sleeping, showering, taking a lot of pictures, the quiet of the night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. I made a really rad kid named Salinger
2. I have been blessed with the ability to attract the most wonderful people that are all very amazing friends.
3. My car broke down in the middle of the desert in Arizona once. Never before had I seen the night so dark and so many stars in the sky. The road was actually lit with stars. Coyotes howled in the distance. I found a perfect moment.
4. I lived in Hollywood for 6 months in a hostel. Crazy times. Was almost killed a few times. It was rad.
