About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be boring.... to complete a masters in History at the University of Leiden (2012-13). Apart from that, my other goal is to achieve everything. (Though getting an opportunity to practice speaking Spanish would be nice)

ABOUT ME

Irish born and bred, which is both a blessing and a curse, I suppose. I hold a BA in History and Anthropology (2010)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too complicated to have one which can not be changed given the circumstances.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I'm not looking for anywhere to stay but rather I'm interested in meeting up with people for a coffee (or something similar, actually I hate coffee) and get to know where I'm travelling through better. One does not learn much travelling on one's own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As of yet, none. But I am always willing to learn.

Interests

History and Social Sciences, Linguistics, Science Fiction (Only GOOD science fiction), Discovering things about this world in which I live

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to mention. Far too many.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to live in Spain for a year on my own without a definite job, without knowing any body or (at the time) a single word of the language and without much money was something pretty amazing in retrospect... though I'm not entirely sure whether that is amazing in the sense of "amazingly brilliant" or in the sense of "amazingly stupid". But I enjoyed it immensely nonetheless.

Teach, Learn, Share

The amount of things I would like to learn (about) would easily fill an entire essay so let's just say I'm open to new experiences. As for teaching, anyone who is willing to put up with me boring on about history and politics for too long is welcome. I also have experience in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) for those who wish to improve their English skills.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ireland, Netherlands, Spain
