About Me

I am taking off on a long trip for the rest of 2018 and need to budget smart. Until now I have lived in Toronto as a bike messenger, and a reiki practicing massage therapist.

I am at a point where I feel I need to go see the world before life settles me down. I love adventure, I love live music, I love art, and of course, I love great food! I always enjoy a good philosophical debate. I am friendly but cautious, conversational but otherwise pretty quite.

I speak English and Italian comfortably. I can speak some French and Spanish. And very basic German, Mandarin, Portuguese and Russian. I love learning new languages and phrases. Maybe we could teach each other a thing or two!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling for a long time. I'm nervous about my budget and want to save anywhere I can. Ideally I will find a way to make money while I'm travelling too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Metal Core is my jam. I also really love anything 90s, grunge and alternative rock.

My favourite movies are mostly comedies. Ace Ventura, Zoolander, Anchorman, to name a few. I also enjoy thought provoking films like Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, and Butterfly Effect. Oh! And artistic movies with great cinematography, even if the effects are outdated and cheesy.

I read all kinds of things. Mostly non-fiction type books I can take practical knowledge from. But I do love a good story every now and then. My goal is to read a lot more while I'm abroad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was hit by a bus in 2014.

I went through 18 months of physical rehab and am 98% better I'd say. Still some residual pain in my left hip sometimes, but otherwise back to normal!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English. Maybe some Italian.
I can also teach someone how to make a dream catcher, if we have the materials.
I can teach reflexology.

I am going to be learning Acupuncture in China when I go in August.
I'd also like to learn to cook easy but delicious recipes.
I'm always interested in learning new languages and helpful phrases.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Reiki and reflexology.

I am not an amazing cook, but I have a few solid recipes up my sleeve.

I'm also a really good listener.

I'm a writer and an artist. I make dream catchers too. I don't know if that counts, but I could technically share those things.
