My name is Gianpaolo, an italian who is traveling around the world since lost my brother Carmelo for leukaemia. I travelled in 124 Countries covering 649.063 km - 403.633 miles

I’m now the President of “Imbriani non Mollare” Association. The aim of this association is to promote and spread fraternity and antiracism around the world.

“Imbriani non mollare” (Imbriani don’t give up) represents the story of Carmelo Imbriani, an ex-soccer player dead at the age of 37.
His story joined different groups of football fans from North towards South from East towards West of Italy. This is a story that showed the other side of soccer: That which is clean, sympathetic, able to create a real social occurrence. That side of football, in which at least once, opponent groups of fans, different teams struggling for the championship, putting aside their intolerance, came together giving voice to an only one slogan.
The image of his triumph has become the emblem of the "respectable football”

My brother dreamed of a different type of soccer. He had an idea of sport that he had struggled to find in the world of soccer, and probably, the thing that most filled him with pride in his career, was when in the hospital, he read in a newspaper that opposing fans were united under the same message for him: “Imbriani Don’t Give Up”. Carmelo didn’t play soccer like Maradona, nor did he become a media personality outside of the playing field, yet so many have supported him on the field and in the stands with jerseys and banners: from North to South. Gestures that have demonstrated how a man can leave an important mark, even without scoring a goal in the last minute of the World Cup finals. Like the dreams of many children... I certainly have no illusions of changing the world of sport, but if I could transmit to kids who approach any discipline for the first time, the values that Carmelo has left in this story, maybe in 10 or 20 years, my family will have the immense satisfaction of knowing that some of those kids grew up with the teachings of Carmelo Imbriani.

I extrapolated from one of his photos, after a goal, an image with neither colors nor flags because I believe that even just an image and a well told story can enrich the development of a child. To educate the youngest, those who are older need to help. It is for this reason that I am asking the world of sport for help in supporting our initiatives.

ImbrianiNonMollare” (Imbriani don't give up) rapresents now the story of a promise and of two brothers who travel the world embraced.
The PROMISE is the ambition to spread the history of my brother around the world.
The DREAM is to have five football fields in five different continents dedicated to Carmelo. In 2013 the first one was born in Benevento, Italy, Europe.
May 14th, 2019 a second field was established in Itigi, Tanzania, Africa.
Currently working on a third football field in Salta, Argentina, America.
