About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live and learn

ABOUT ME
Like you, I enjoy traveling and experiencing other cultures. I've been living in Korea for seven years. I currently teach English at a university near Seoul.

PHILOSOPHY
Have some patience and never stop learning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer up the spare room in my apartment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted many surfers, one person more than once, and I've stayed with a surfer in Osaka. Staying with a local was so much better than the usual guesthouse experience.

Interests

My interests seem to change on regular basis, but these days I'm into surfing, SUPing, hiking, snowboarding, exploring Korea, enjoying good beer, hearing live music, drinking good coffee, watching sports, and meeting amazing people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: A little bit of everything

Reading: Short stories these days, but in the past I've enjoyed reading Murakami, Cormac McCarthy, Hemingway, Philip K. Dick, and Keroauc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far...I've traveled to Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea. In Fukuoka, Japan, I met some locals and stayed out all night dancing and eating with them. In Cambodia, I went swimming with huge white jelly fish. In Laos, I went white water rafting and lived to tell about it. In Thailand, I went scuba diving with giant barracuda. (Fortunately, my scuba guide didn't tell me until later that they were right next to me.) In Taiwan, I took a road trip with friends down the beautiful east coast.

What I Can Share with Hosts
