ABOUT ME

My name is Gianna. I grew up in a beautiful small town in California. While I consider myself lucky, I also consider myself sheltered. The importance of traveling has always been expressed to me and as I reach an age of discovery I look forward to embarking on some awesome adventures. I am an artist, singer-songwriter (although I hate that term,) pretend writer, fairly good cook, movie watcher, music listener, hiker, etc. I hope to meet a network of people who have anything to share. I'm willing to exchange language and experiences and to always be respectful when hosted.

PHILOSOPHY

People have light and dark in them, call them angels or demons, spirits or leeches-- neither one will subside. In order to be balanced I try to understand the imbalance in myself and others. I don't believe in the perfection or harmony, only the willingness to look deeper.

To the artists in this world, never stop creating or thinking. Artists are mad only because we see the madness, but its also our sanity.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not yet couch surfed, but I have hosted many in the past. From my experiences I know what it means to be a respectful guest.

The passions of people, the serenity of moments in nature, Redwoods so tall they could shake the hands of Gods, the abyss of desert nights, the staggering red rocks of Utah, the teary eyed peaks of Colorado, the bat ridden skies of Texas, the illuminated eyes of pueblos in New Mexico, the lost civilization of the Anasazi, the golden hills of California, the stillness and rushing of water, rainforest noises, flea ridden dogs, tortuga's laying eggs in the middle of the night, always remembering the sound of rain on rooftops-- wherever I am.
