About Me
Hey there, I’m Gil!
I used to be a big traveler when I was younger—always on the move, always curious about what was waiting just a bit further down the road. Then life settled me down for about ten years, and traveling took a back seat for a while.
But now the itch is back. I feel that same energy, that same excitement to explore new places and meet new people. I’m getting back out there, ready to rediscover the world with fresh eyes and the same passion I had years ago.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling on my own, but staying in hotels often feels a bit lonely. Couchsurfing is the perfect way for me to explore the world while connecting with the people who actually live in the places I visit.
I’m not a big fan of planning—actually, I kind of hate it. That’s why meeting locals is such a huge advantage for me. It’s like discovering a new country with a friend who knows all the hidden spots, the real stories, and the local way of life.
Traveling, for me, is mostly about people. I enjoy sharing moments, learning from others, and seeing the world through their eyes. Couchsurfing makes every trip warmer, more authentic, and a lot more fun.
Also, I really would like to host people , I'll be very proud to show you the best spot over here
Interests
I’m into anything that gets me moving and exploring. I love hiking and trail running, and I’m a motorcycle fan—there’s nothing like the feeling of freedom on the road. I also enjoy wakeboarding, climbing, and pretty much every activity that involves water.
Rivers, waterfalls, natural pools… if there’s water around, I’m happy. I’m drawn to nature, adventure, and discovering beautiful spots that aren’t always in the guidebooks. Meeting people who share that curiosity and love for the outdoors is always a bonus.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can listen to almost anything, but I have a soft spot for music that hits hard and makes the place go boom boom. I also enjoy folk music—it has a way of telling stories and connecting you to different cultures. When it comes to movies, I’m more into short, light, and funny films. I can’t really stay focused in front of a long movie, so quick laughs and fun stories are more my style. As for books, it’s simple—Ken Follett is the best. When I do read, he’s the one I enjoy the most.
