Hi, My name is Gillian and I'm from Syracuse NY! Basically all of my childhood was spent outside and in the beautiful Adirondacks of New York State, so I am an avid camper and hiker. I also love yoga (although i'm not great at it :), road tripping, trying new things, canoeing, swimming, listening to music, and having campfires. I am currently studying environmental communications at the College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry in Syracuse, NY, and am very passionate about protecting the environment. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking forward to traveling a lot throughout college and after I graduate, and am hoping to host next year when I move off campus. I think traveling can be fun, but its an even richer experience when I can connect with locals and people who know that place well!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a lover of 70's and 80's music, although I do listen to a lot of current jams as well. My favorite oldies are The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Crosby Stills and Nash, Yusuf/Cat Stevens, and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Some more current stuff I listen to is Matt Corby, Jake Bugg, Xavier Rudd, Foster the People, Coast Modern, and Imagine Dragons. I love horror and action movies and (I hate to admit it) don't read much anymore. I do read a lot of blogs however, and find the minimalists to be very inspiring!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't really have a place for anyone to stay right now (unless you're okay with sleeping on a dorm room floor), but I'd love to hang out and party!
