I grew up in the US, but have lived in Ireland and Croatia. I am currently volunteering in Croatia for a women's fund. I love travel because it puts into perspective how small I am while also allowing me to see just how much I am a part of the world. Travel, and the people I meet, continually change me for the better.
Note* I am one of those difficult people who has food allergies (Gluten and Dairy) which seems like all foods, but really isn't, I promise! (I still eat meat, eggs, all vegetables, all fruits, rice, quinoa, etc.)

My favorite part of travel is meeting locals and getting a taste of life in the places I visit. I am continually amazed, inspired, and humbled by the people I meet when traveling. Their generostiy and hospitality have created some of my best, most cherished memories. Why would I stay in a hotel or hostel when I could stay with a local?

Music: I like acoustic, folk, indie, alternative music. I also grew up in the west and have a special place in my heart for 90's country music, 90's music in general really. I love big band swing, jazz and blues as well, and of course the Beatles.
