About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting grounded with the soil, basil and photosynthesizers, yoga, strangers, friends.

ABOUT ME

Right now... we just moved to Portland, OR. Stay at home mom for the moment, getting settled in a new state with a growing belly, both enjoying and lamenting the sweet rain!

Otherwise...time outside is my favorite time, love exploring the forests, snow, rock, wetlands, sageland, and deserts. But I also love to just relax or garden at the house, and to talk about life with a beer or a little music. I live with my husband and we're excited about meeting new people and the chaos of the coming and going. Interested in living with awareness, in learning from how others live, and in discovering, anything!

PHILOSOPHY

Do it yourself, simply, outside when you can, with love.

Music, Movies, and Books

Authors -
Derrick Jensen, Edward Abbey, Barbara Kingsolver, Gary Snyder, Vonnegut, Kerouac, Bukowski, Pablo Neruda, Vandana Shiva, Terry Tempest Williams
Cool books: Just Kids, Off The Map (The CrimethInc pub), The Island (Huxley), The Legacy of Luna, The Ethical Slut, Ender's Game, Ordinary Wolves, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Spiritual Midwifery
Music - So much! Most genres, except radio pop and religious rock. I don't care if you like those though, whatever floats your boat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working in a field job in where we hiked all day in sand dunes in the Sonoran Desert, we watched migrating butterflies head north for a couple of weeks, always the same height above the dunes, passing by our heads every 30 seconds or so. There is no place like the desert...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to knit or lead a yoga practice with you, talk about botany, or possibly take you out for a relaxed hike. I'm also more into chilling at home these days with a growing belly, but like meeting new people all the more as things have gotten a little slower around here!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can meet you in Portland, especially looking to meet more mamas here!. Open to short visits with families visiting from out of town. Or people who love kids. Also happy to lead prenatal yoga classes in my house to fellow expecting mamas if we meet out of the house first, especially since I'm not teaching at a studio in Portland yet!
