I'm Gina, 28 years old and have been traveling the world since January 2022. I started in Africa and then traveled further through Asia and will finally be in my absolute dream destination Australia in September.
I've been registered with Couchsurfing since the beginning of my journey, but haven't had the chance to try out this great platform yet, as I've been doing volunteer workaways most of the time. My plan is to work and travel in Australia for a year on the work and holiday visa. I will start in Perth and would therefore be very happy if someone can offer me a place to sleep for some weeks in Australia.

To give you some more information about me I would like to write a few lines about me personally :). After school I did an apprenticeship as a hairdresser, but then I changed completely and worked as a social worker with children and teenagers.
At home, my brother currently takes care of my two cats and generally I am an absolute animal person.
I also love the company of nice, open-minded people, because that's exactly what I am. And it's often the people you meet on your travels that give you the best memories.
I would be happy to tell you about all my travel experiences and I am absolutely looking forward to your stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always found the idea of Couchsurfing great and had then registered here at the beginning of my trip.
I travel extremely low budget around the world and always try to spend as little money as possible. So far, I have always succeeded in the cheap countries and through many workaway jobs, through which I had received a free place to sleep and food in return for my work and I hope that I will also manage to live low budget in expensive Australia. If you can help me with this, I would be extremely grateful, because I want to stay on my world tour as long as possible :).

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a particular style of music that I like. I like to listen to pop, rock, electric and sometimes rap, depending on my mood. With movies it is similar. One day I like to watch romances and the other day thrillers, action or horror movies. Books I like to read for my life world travel books, romances and thrillers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Unfortunately, I haven't experienced Couchsurfing yet but other great experiences have been: starting my world trip, swimming with sharks and sea turtles, getting my open water scuba diving license, riding the motorcycle loop in Vietnam, hiking up a volcano, meeting many people from different cultures from all over the world and making new friends, volunteering in many places around the world and gaining new experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to improve my English skills even more and I am absolutely in love with the Spanish language, which is why I am currently learning Spanish. One day I would also like to learn to play an instrument (preferably guitar). I could teach you German or cook something for you (just don't expect too much, because I'm not the best cook). Otherwise, I'm happy to share my joy of life with you or help you with whatever I can help you with.
