About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life, improve on my weaknesses, try new things and to meet new friends on the way.

ABOUT ME

Im Chris I always had a passion for travel and did a few small trips in Europe but a couple of years ago I decided to travel further, I gave up my job and headed to Asia. I am now on my second long trip and it's been a great ride.
I like meeting new people, sharing stories over a beer and I'm a foodie so I love to check out the local cuisine and I will taste anything including the infamous balut in the Philippines!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is full of ups and downs its all about learning from the downs and using them to shape us into the person we become, As the pilot of our own destiny we can discover more ups and avoid some of the downs.

Aim for progress not perfection.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a few times, joined events and when I am in the right position to do so I will host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Asia during my current trip and I have to say its been amazing, I have met some great people and some friends for life.

Interests

Music, food (especially new and exotic things), Boxing, Travel, Tattoos, and volunteering.

Music, Movies & Books

Arctic monkeys, Bloc party, Two door cinema club, Biffy clyro, Queens of the stone age, The Skints and basically lots of Indie, rock, ska and punk music but can pretty much listen to most genres and especially have an interest in live music.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I fulfilled a life long ambition of having a competitive boxing bout that was a pretty special experience.
At the moment I am a volunteer in the Philippines, I work at drop in centre in manila and also take part in outreach and relief programs in more remote communities, it's certainly been the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty much a hands on person my work experience is manufacturing and fixing things usually plastic but I can try my hand using other materials also.
My main hobby until I developed a foot injury was boxing both taking part myself and watching and helping others.
I'm a huge foodie and can also cook pretty well, I experiment lots with my own dishes.
