About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the cultural exchange, be it as a host or a guest. I believe that travelling is a great way to expand your horizon and to get to know the world better as well as yourself.

When hosting people, I like doing it with a smile. It is important to me, to make the stay as comfortable and satisfying to the extent of my ability. I try to find a good balance between beeing present (talking, cooking, taking out...) and giving freedom. If you have any whishes or questions, I'll be glad to listen to them and discuss with you the possibilities.

Interests

While trying to be open for new things, my main interests are based on sports and languages.

As a kid I loved practicing karate for the fun of learning to do things with your body and playing with friends. In my adolescent years I switched over to football/soccer enjoying the complexity and the social aspect of the game. To this day it remains one of my absolute favorite activities. Later, when starting college, I got slowly more and more interested in dancing. After a brief experience in breakdancing, I found interest in lindy hop - a joyful partner-dance. Also during my college years I got more fascinated in travelling , especially by bike. My biggest bike tour till now was from the borders of Switzerland down to Lecce in south-east Italy (around 1300 km).

My interest in languages has its roots in my multicultural background, being born and raised in Switzerland in a pure italian family and living in an area that has many different ethnicities. It is captivating to me, experiencing cultures and languages. I adore listening to different accents, I like talking and learning about cultural features or watching comedy programs based on such themes.
