Overview
About Me
Hello, I am Giorgio, born and living in Genoa with some time spent in England, France and China. I am the last and most spoilt of three brothers. I like travelling do-it-yourself, organising the trip from day to day according to how I'm experiencing it. I have always travelled mostly in couple preferring touring with beautiful places and breathtaking views. As a means of transport I prefer the motorbike, I love the tent but I have recently also enjoyed the freedom of the camper van. I love nature, its beauty and grandeur and practise outdoor sports to keep in touch with it. I practice ski mountaineering, track skiing, mountain biking and road biking. I like running, preferably not on asphalt, and I have recently taken up rock climbing. I'm not a fan of social networking and likes, I like being in company doing and suggesting things to do, getting to know and socialise with people, listening to others and telling about myself
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This year I turned 50 and I find myself for the first time having the desire to try and tackle a trip alone with my motorbike. Couchsurfing seem to be a fantastic way to meet local person, staying in contact with them, discovery different culture and places...

Music, Movies, and Books
I like rock music but I am not an expert, I prefer guitar drums and saxophone as instruments. I've never studied music and I regret it a little but I don't think I've ever had the patience to do it. I like funny comedies to take my mind off after a working day and I still prefer go to the cinema to watch movies of great directors. I have never been a bookworm because I always had trouble to give myself time to stop and enjoy reading... my interest are more focus to learn and practise new sport and discipline and the time is never enough...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Mexico I saved some baby turtles that were trying to reach the water from the attack of crabs much bigger than them. In Lapland I saw a wonderful Northern Lights on the last night of my holiday. In Cappadocia, in the middle of nowhere, I was welcomed and helped by a very humble family of boundless generosity to shelter me from a storm with my motorbike.
