Overview
About Me
Hi there. I am a PhD student at Trinity College Dublin. I work on something called string theory. I am also a masters student at the University of Athens studying pure mathematics.
During the summer I reside in Athens.
I have a Facebook page, Giorgos Korpas. Also a quick Google search will show you results like my personal physics page, and others.
Finally, in September 2015 I am moving to Dublin :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A few friends are visiting me and I am gonna take them on all touristy spots and not only of Athens. I thought I could get to know a few more people like this and in this way have a better experience for everyone.
Also, I might be in need to find some couch in Dublin (in September 2015) while I will be trying to find permanent accommodation in this amazing city.
Interests
Basketball, a lot of basketball. Also tennis and ski. Actually I like all kind of sports. I hope I start playing water polo this year.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jazz, especially gypsy jazz as well as rock music. I also enjoy a lot most of the traditional Greek music, for example rembetika.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I learned Spanish without having even one lesson in my life. I have met people from all over the world. I play more than 5 musical instruments.
Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to popularize physics and mathematics, that is current research, as well as teach parts of those subjects. Happy to show Greek culture and Greek everyday life to visitors. Happy to to teach music (theory, harmony) or give guitar, bass, drums lesson.
What I Can Share with Hosts
No accommodation, unfortunately (in Athens I live with parents) but probably a lot of fun in various spots of Athens.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Wales
