About Me
CURRENT MISSION
something between dismantling written language and surrounding myself with good people. or, travelling until i find a place to settle.
ABOUT ME
i believe in the following things: naps, snacks, smiling at strangers, open communication and the importance of good typography.
-
i decided to take a leave of absence from graduate school before it started this fall, and now i'm wandering as much as i can, to see and know and experience. there's just so much world, and i'm just one person - there's a lot of ground to cover, but it's going to have to happen.
i live pretty quietly, but i'm definitely down to cause the occasional ruckus. actually, you know what? i'm kind of like mary poppins. i'll swoop into your life, sing some songs, rearrange your stuff, and then leave when the wind changes. that's the best i've got.
PHILOSOPHY
for a while, i thought i should be the trouble i want to see in the world.
now, i feel like i'm here to make gestures in the world that make the intangible more tangible, whether it's art or just the way i live & interact with others.

Music, Movies, and Books
music: independent hip hop. sad voices with pretty guitars. music with banjos & fiddles. dirty, downhearted blues. jazz & bop. the stuff my friends make.
movies: little miss sunshine. black cat/white cat. shredder orpheus. anything that can make me smile and make me want to change things at the same time.
books: i'll read pretty much anything, honestly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i've not had many big adventures, necessarily. but i don't think there's anything like standing all alone in the middle of a field in wyoming, with the sky all big and little yellow flowers up to your knees, as fas as you can see.
Teach, Learn, Share
i can teach bookbinding, basic printmaking methods, and make a pretty good editor, if need be.
i also make vegan cornbread like nobody's business. i'd be happy to show you how.
