About Me

CURRENT MISSION

There is so much to see and do in a lifetime - so many people to meet, so many cultures to experience, so many great memories to make - and I intend on doing the best I can to make every day worth living and making the most out of my life!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but have spent the majority of my life in the United States. My mom is from Rio and my dad is from Argentina, so I have spent a lot of my life going to and from South America and the states, and having the incredible opportunity of experiencing the strong cultures of these countries. I think it has definitely taught me the importance of being open-minded to different types of people and different types of cultures.

I love experiences that force me to push myself, whether it is physically, mentally, or emotionally. I think they are great opportunities to grow as an individual.

I LOVE the beach - everything about it: the water, the smell, the sand, the people. Whenever I need to clear my head, or at anytime for that matter, running on the beach is the best solution. I also am addicted to playing volleyball, especially sand volleyball. I am obsessed with Austin, but I have to admit that it would be infinitely times better if it had a beach.

I am a big work by day, party by night kind of person. I have no problem waking up early to get work done - but when it starts getting dark, the procrastination starts kicking in. Night to me means time to get out of the house...especially if it means to go dancing! I love going out with my friends and meeting new people, and I especially love going out here in South America where everyone knows how to DANCE...my personal favorite is samba (I like to think I can dance samba...but never put me next to any sort of professional, that would just be embarrassing!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just recently joined about Couch Surfing, after hearing about if from several people. I absolutely LOVE meeting people from different countries and with different backgrounds. Until now, I just always became friends with the exchange students at my university (as well as studying abroad myself). The CS project seems like a great opportunity to meet more people, as well as be an important tool for when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't hosted or surfed with anyone yet, but I hope to do so soon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most incredible experience of my life thus far was studying abroad in Rio. It has taught me so much, about the culture and myself. Yes, I was born in Rio - and yes, I have grown up speaking Portuguese and visiting all the time; but to actually spend six months here has shown what it is like to be a true 'carioca' (carioca = native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Costa Rica, Croatia, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Nepal, Peru, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, United States
