Hello, we are Gitte and Søren, a retired couple who are passionate about exploring the world. Having more free time in our retirement, we’ve found joy in traveling, meeting new people, and discovering both the well-known and hidden gems of nature. We're both outgoing and curious, always eager to learn about different cultures, landscapes, and ways of life.

At the moment, we are focusing our travels in the Nordic countries, as there is still so much beauty we have yet to experience in this stunning region. From breathtaking fjords to picturesque villages, every trip offers something new and exciting. Nature is what drives us, and we love hiking, walking, and enjoying the serene beauty of forests, lakes, and mountains.

In addition to our love for travel, we enjoy sharing stories, cooking, and learning from the people we meet along the way. Couchsurfing is a perfect platform for us to connect with locals, exchange ideas, and immerse ourselves in the culture of each place we visit.

We joined Couchsurfing because our son, Thomas from Esbjerg, has had such a positive experience using the platform and often shares wonderful stories about it. He has encouraged us to give it a try, and we’re excited to connect with new people and share in the experience. We are planning an Interrail trip in the winter of 2025, and we think Couchsurfing will be the perfect way to meet locals, learn about different cultures, and make new friends along the way. We're looking forward to exploring new places and making lasting connections through this amazing community.
