Hi! I'm an almost 30yo English teacher who loves travelling and getting to know new people and their cultures, traditions and stories. I love languages, linguistics but also literature and films! I enjoy a good night out, but I'm also the kind of person who needs some peace and quiet after a long day of work (I teach in middle school... if you know what I mean!).

I'm on Couchsurfing because it's the cheapest way to travel... and the easiest way to get to know somebody (especially when travelling alone!) without the awkwardness of starting a conveersation out of the blue with complete strangers!

Ci sono prove molto più difficili che saltare da una scogliera a nove anni.
Quando Gloria è entrata nella mia vita ho trovato il coraggio di saltare nel vuoto.
Lei mi ha insegnato che la paura di morire non è nulla in confronto a quella di non vivere.
E che venti euro per un taxi possono essere la chiave per una felicità assoluta.
Non esistono madri perfette, né padri ideali, ognuno fa quello che può, improvvisa.
Oggi mi basta guardare Gloria, vederla ridere, per dimenticare il resto.
Conta solo il momento presente, conta solo la sua vocina che non mi abbandonerà mai.
Ne è valsa la pena.
Anche quando la vita ha in serbo un contrattempo, un malfunzionamento, una debolezza, proprio qui, vicino al cuore. E i medici ti spiegano che appunto non c’è nessuna spiegazione, è così, è la vita, e che un giorno Gloria si addormenterà e non si sveglierà più.
I medici non si erano sbagliati, Gloria se ne è andata poco dopo aver trascorso i più bei momenti della sua vita in famiglia.
Mio padre mi ha insegnato ad affrontare le mie paure, e mia figlia ad affrontare la vita.
A volte ci sono delle cadute che non si fermano mai, ma io ho voluto che ogni attimo di questa caduta fosse una festa e oggi porto dentro di me tutti quei minuscoli istanti passati con mia figlia.
Gloria è qui, vicino a me in, ogni momento, per sempre.
E domani… tutto comincia.
