Overview
About Me
I'm Giulia, I'm 29 years old and I’m from Turin, Italy.
I like to think of myself as an open-minded person, respectful and easy-going. I enjoy socialising and having good conversations, but I’m also (veeery) comfortable spending quiet time on my own.
I work as a production designer. Love my job, but I feel the need to expand my horizons, looking for new places to explore and new people to meet.
Around the house I’m tidy, quiet and respectful of other people’s space. I currently live with roommates so I’m used to shared living.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The thing is... I will be in Bern (CH) from 27 December 2025 to 10 January 2026 for work, as I’ll be helping with the dismantling of the Berner SternenMarkt (annual Christmas outdoor market). Unfortunately my housing plans have suddenly and brutally gone to waste, so I’m trying Couchsurfing as a way to meet locals and hopefully find a kind place to stay.
I’d be happy to share stories, help around the house if needed, cook some Italian food, enjoy a chat together, in full respect of house rules and privacy.
In addition to this, I hope to start using Couchsurfing for many more adventures!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: all (but if I have to choose it's gonna be classical, indie pop, electronic)
Movies: I love watching (and commenting after) every kind of movie, from horror to soap, from masterpiece to complete trash (love true trash)
Books: I'm reading The Lord of The Rings, one page at a time, for almost ten years (I don't want it to end), and several other random books in between. Sometimes I have a different book for each room around the house.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Staying alive until now is already such an amazing achievement, but I'll go with finding the job of my dreams... for now.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live in Turin but I am Ligurian by birth, so I can bring this LITERAL food shopping list as a gift for hosts:
- Home made Limoncello and Mandarinello (liquors yes, made by me yes) straight from the trees of my dad's garden;
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil from local oil mill (Taggiasca olives!);
- Honey (real good and raw quality, my mom has her hooks...);
- Local wine (this one not homemade unfortunately);
- Local PESTO;
- A bottle of "Bicerin" (yes another liquor), a very typical Turin drink;
- I'm open to specific requests if asked in advance, why not
Well... I really hope my hosts will be drinkers.
I also can clean, or better, I genuinely enjoy cleaning the house if needed.
Not a chef, but I can cook a bunch of interesting italian meals (grandma's legacy).
