Über mich
Hello everyone! My name is Giuseppe Pizzo, a 26-year-old from Palermo, Sicily, with a deep passion for sports, history, and geopolitics. I graduated in Sports Science and Physiotherapy and have always had a soft spot for exploring the world. I speak Italian, Spanish, English, Portuguese, Catalan, and Sicilian, which reflects my love for diverse languages and cultures, especially those of Latin America.
During my university years, I had the opportunity to live and study abroad in three different cities: Girona and Murcia in Spain, and Santiago de Chile. These experiences not only enriched my cultural knowledge but also taught me the importance of hospitality and cultural exchange.

I've worked in various fields, from personal training in Ibiza to roles completely unrelated to my studies, all with one big goal: to travel as much as possible. Currently, I have turned my passion for travel into a profession and work as a digital nomad in the tourism sector. My dream is to visit every country in the world by the time I am 79.
When I'm not traveling around the world, my base is in Certaldo, a charming town near Florence. I love meeting new people, exchanging travel stories, and ideas. If you're passing through this area or want to share travel tips and experiences, feel free to contact me. I'm always ready for a coffee and a good conversation!
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I joined Couchsurfing because I am a backpacker passionate about adventures and meeting new people. I love the idea of traveling with a backpack, discovering new places, and meeting locals. The platform is a perfect way to connect with other travelers and those who have an open and international view of the world.
Being on Couchsurfing allows me to support those traveling in Italy by offering local tips and an authentic perspective on the beauty of my country. At the same time, I wish to continue engaging in cultural exchanges, enriching my understanding of other cultures and sharing my own.
Moreover, through Couchsurfing, I hope to find new friends in every corner of the world, people with whom I can share experiences, explore new places, and perhaps host in return. Another essential aspect of Couchsurfing for me is the opportunity to experience the places I visit "like a true local," fully immersing myself in local cultures and traditions.
Lastly, I enjoy the opportunity to convey and spread Italian culture, showing others the richness of Italian culture and lifestyle.
Couchsurfing represents a bridge to the world for me, an opportunity to continue exploring, learning, and connecting in always new and meaningful ways.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
One amazing thing I've done is embarking on a grand adventure across diverse landscapes and cultures that truly tested my spirit and broadened my worldview. I have journeyed across the Amazon River from Peru to Colombia on a cargo boat, immersing myself in the lush wilderness. With friends from different corners of the world, I explored the vibrant heart of Andalusia, living out of a 7-seater van. I've lived in São Paulo to master Portuguese and danced through Brazilian streets during Carnaval. Inspired by Che Guevara's 'Motorcycle Diaries', I retraced his journey across Latin America, traveling from Buenos Aires to Cartagena de Indias.
Moreover, I've trekked the challenging W trail in Torres del Paine, paraglided over Rio, watched the sunrise from a hot air balloon over the Sahara, and visited some of the most stunning beaches in the Caribbean. I've embarked on a solo journey through Central Asia, witnessing the traditional Kok Boru game in Kyrgyzstan, and experienced the wild beauty of a safari in Tsavo East in Kenya. Swimming alongside the immense whale shark and seeing five of the seven modern wonders of the world are among the highlights of my extensive travels through Southeast Asia over four months.
Each of these experiences has not only challenged me but also allowed me to connect deeply with people and places, leaving me with unforgettable memories and stories to share.
But the Show Must go on!
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Teach: With my international experiences and my background in sports science and physiotherapy, I am eager to teach not only fitness techniques and physical wellness but also the languages I have mastered over the years, such as Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Additionally, I would love to share authentic Italian recipes and cooking techniques that reflect true Italian culture.
Learn: I am always curious to learn new languages and dialects, and I have a profound interest in understanding different cultures and ways of life. Whether it's discussing traditional customs, everyday routines, or personal values, I aim to immerse myself in the local culture wherever I travel. I am also keen to learn Arabic to better connect with people and cultures in Arabic-speaking regions.
Share: I enjoy sharing my travel stories and experiences from various corners of the world. I am also very open to discussing life stories and experiences, exchanging travel tips, and collaborating with other travelers to explore new destinations. Sharing unique moments and creating lasting friendships are at the heart of my experience on Couchsurfing.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
When staying with hosts, I love to share both tangible and intangible gifts from my culture and experiences. As someone passionate about fitness and wellness, I can share personal training tips and physiotherapy advice to promote a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, having a deep love for cooking, I am always excited to prepare authentic Italian dishes, offering a taste of Italy's rich culinary traditions.
I also bring with me stories and insights from my extensive travels around the world, from the vibrant streets of Latin America to the rugged landscapes of Central Asia. Whether it's recounting my adventures or discussing the deep cultural history of the places I've visited, I love engaging in meaningful conversations that enrich our understanding of the world.
Moreover, as a language enthusiast, I am happy to help hosts practice or learn Spanish, Portuguese, English, and, of course, Italian. Each conversation is an opportunity to learn from each other, and I cherish these moments of exchange.
Lastly, my backpack is always packed with a spirit of adventure and curiosity, ready to explore local sights or even venture into new experiences. I aim to make every interaction a two-way street where both the host and I gain from our shared time.
