About Me

Marine ecologist and avid lover of the sea. 37 years in my wake, most of which spent meandering. I now live in a charming corner of the planet and i'm keen to share the magnificent sea-view of my refuge with the world.

“I am a citizen of the most beautiful nation on earth. A nation whose laws are harsh yet simple, a nation that never cheats, which is immense and without borders, where life is lived in the present. In this limitless nation, this nation of wind, light, and peace, there is no other ruler besides the sea.” Bernard Moitessier in his majestic “Long Way”.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is, has been and will always be a life style, not just a website.

Interests

In no particular order:
sailing, travelling, diving, camping, listening, hiking, exploring, watching, reading, cooking, eating, drinking, photography, art, poetry, cinema, music, animals, geography, science, biology, evolution, nature, history, literature, ecology, cultures, politics, traditions, the world and especially its future.

Music, Movies, and Books

Passive coprophagy gives me stomach ache. That's why i do not own a television.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The highlights of my brief earthly experience include a lot of islands, smiles, icebergs, deserts, dolphins, whales, departures, destinations, tears, penguins, sunrises, dinners, farewells, storms, sailings, poems, barbecues, campings, words, coffees, friends, idioms, sharks, fears, sunsets, drinks, camels, volcanoes, dogs, rainfalls, ships, nights, dances, homes, goodbyes, borders, buses, trains, bubbles, welcomes, farewells, clouds, oceans, meetings, songs, boats, sights, drawings, beers, crossings, jumps, falls, dishes, pictures, waves, horses, seagulls, lights, chants, seas, waitings, expectations, delusions and the amazing activity of listening, facing, swimming, discovering, forgiving, learning, loving, changing, forgetting, seeing, traveling, dreaming, joking and living this life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am currently trapped in a pleasant learning and sharing process.
Being able to teach must be wonderful, but being taught will always be better.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have two windows on the sea, a double bedroom, a tiny couch, a kitchen, a car, a sailing boat, some good friends, some free time, a few bottles of wine and a great desire to learn more about this planet.
