About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Staying calm

ABOUT ME

I have lived under all sorts of moons and with all kinds of people. Through these experiences I have become a very openminded person. I also consider myself sincere, curious and slightly chaotic.

PHILOSOPHY

"I don't know my future after this weekend and I don't want to"
- Björk

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting and being hosted. I also met up with fellow CS-ers out of boredom, and eventually tricked some into becoming my friends. I highly recommend anyone who's feeling lonely to post a message in their local CS group!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some experience. Hosted a friend of a friend, who convinced me to join the Couchsurfing community.

Interests

Birdwatching, poetry, politics, exploring the world, live music, the flow of lava over granite banks, generation crap, the life cycle of the salmon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm currently reading Milan Kundera's 'the Unbearable Lightness of Being' (daytime reading), Naomi Klein's 'No Logo' (daily commute), and 'Crow' by Ted Hughes (bedtime poem).

I'm a bit sick of jazz, gypsy swing and all that shit. Lately I prefer listening to Brightblack Morning Light, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Mazzy Star, Earth, Camera. So a bit of slow-burn, guitar driven music with whispered vocals - if any. I am also deeply in love with Nick Drake's 'Five Leaves Left', which was gifted to me by this dude in a record store. Thank you kind sir.

Movies: anything by Jim Jarmusch, All About Eve, pretentious French films about love triangles, Daisies, Gas Food Lodging, Paris Texas, Dog Day Afternoon, Freaks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I painted the white house black.
