ABOUT ME

I believe in the importance of being a well rounded person. I put effort into reading fiction and non-fiction, staying athletic (soccer, rock climbing, tennis), running, admiring art (of all kinds), and being creative (playing guitar and singing, often with others). I collect music obsessively, and love to see an interesting performance. I'm extremely social, and value my friends infinitely. I'm fiercely loyal and expect the same from those that are close to me.

I'm a longtime member, but have been inactive for the past year or so. I'm just starting to get back into it again.

I study vision and action in humans. Because the specifics of what I study are not easy to explain I won't bother discussing them here, but on your average day I'm doing some combination of programming, reading some published manuscripts, writing up a manuscript for publication, or administering an experiment. I get to play with some cool toys like a virtual reality lab and motion capture system. I'll co-teach my first course in the spring.

I should say that I take my fun just as seriously as my work!
