About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore and come into contact with as much of our world as possible. That, and to consume my weight in cured pork products.

ABOUT ME

I am a TV writer who enjoys meeting folks from across this fine globe of ours. I like to talk. Endlessly. Food and drink are generally involved.

PHILOSOPHY

Having a code to live by is important. Conduct yourself in a fashion that wouldn't shame your grandmother.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While some find LA to be a horrid place, I've grown rather attached to it and am happy to open my door to anyone who finds their way to our fair urban sprawl, especially when we're talking about Santa Monica and its surrounding townships.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No CouchSurfing experience per se, but I've always enjoyed my hostel stays around Europe. Something about sharing travel stories never fails to satisfy.

Interests

Things I love: cooking, trail running, hiking, reading, writing, golf, photography, film, television, architecture, and that final word on all matters: Bruce Springsteen.

Things I do not: undercooked eggplant, overcooked pasta.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?

Once after hiking through the Swiss Alps, a friend and I stopped at a small restaurant at the base of some smaller hills. We ordered house made sausage and two glasses of milk. When I asked the proprietor where the delicious milk came from she pointed at a nearby cow and said, Her.

Teach, Learn, Share

I rather enjoy teaching others who to cook. There are also myriad pieces of esoteric knowledge, but they only show themselves in the midst of a conversation, never on command.

France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland
