I am Gökhan Bozkurt, 28 yo, and oceangoing watchkeeping officer , that means in public, I am third/fourth captain at oceangoing ships, but soon I will be chief officer (2nd captain).

I have been in many countries because of my work, but I haven’t chance so much to travel those countries. Because when you go with ship to another country, there is so less time to look around, because when we come back to ship from outside, it is time to work, and it is huge tiring that working with shifts, and I can look around only at my sleep or rest time.

I am planning a trip for begining of 2021 to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. I haven't fixed dates yet, after my research, my travel dates will be clearer. 😊

I am on Couchsurfing, because I want to know new people and I want to learn things about other cultures from local people, because we can’t learn other cultures from hostels! And I want to share my culture with other families, and show how turkish people family live :)

I love oldies, I almost don’t listen anything from this century. I just like trance and house kinda music from this century, that’s all. All others are oldies, I meant really oldies. 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. I just love it. Movies, I again like classics and I love old tv series such as Friends, everybody loves Raimond, Seinfeld, Cheers, Full House, Fraiser, The office .... and many others Simpsons and Futurama and South Park, too :)

I like reading but not that much, sometimes I read russian classics and Paulo coelho is good, and some other mystic authors, that’s all :)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

This happened two years ago, I did fly other country and my atm card didn’t work and I spent 2 days with 15 euro without place where to stay. I had the most amazing two days, I stayed first time on streets, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences what I had. It was not camping, it was directly being without home, my only luck, it was summer :)
