Music, Movies, and Books
We both have pretty eclectic tastes!
In terms of books, Gaspard has a soft spot for gripping historical fiction. Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth is his personal favorite for its incredible storytelling and deep dive into medieval life.
We also love diving into non-fiction that opens up new perspectives, whether on climate, society, or science.
When it comes to music, we can easily spend hours jamming to Daft Punk — their unique blend of electronic and funk just never gets old. But honestly, our playlists are a bit all over the place, from French classics like Stromae to indie and jazz.
As for movies, we’re always up for a great sci-fi adventure or something that makes you think (Inception, anyone?). On cozier nights, though, nothing beats rewatching The Grand Budapest Hotel for its quirky charm and stunning cinematography.
We’d love to exchange favorite recommendations when we meet! 😊
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life has taken us on some pretty wild adventures! One of the most unforgettable moments was going to a wedding in the Democratic Republic of Congo — an incredible experience with vibrant traditions, music!
Professionally, Gaspard also had the chance to do an internship in Martinique, where he discovered breathtaking landscapes, incredible biodiversity, and warm, welcoming people. It was an eye-opening cultural and professional experience.
And of course, being Parisians, we couldn’t resist a bit of urban exploration. Lucie recently ventured onto the rooftops of Paris for stunning panoramic views — it was like seeing the city with fresh eyes. We've also braved the mysterious depths of the Parisian catacombs.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We love connecting with people and sharing fun experiences. As Parisians, we can offer plenty of insider tips about Paris — from hidden gems for strolling to the best spots for food, culture, and nightlife.
Our passions are quite varied! We enjoy cooking, so we’d be happy to prepare a delicious French meal for you (maybe a hearty ratatouille or classic crêpes). If you’re curious about French culture, music, or history, we’re always up for a great conversation.
Beyond that, we’re full of stories from our travels, including adventures in Africa, the Caribbean, and secret spots right in Paris (ever been on the rooftops or deep in the catacombs?).
Most of all, we’re respectful and easygoing guests who love exchanging ideas and making meaningful connections. Looking forward to sharing laughs, stories, and perhaps a few tips on future trips! 😊
