About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see with my heart: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
ABOUT ME
Graduated from college and applied to be a conversation assistant in Spain. Lived in Badajoz (Extremadura) from February to June 2010. Returned to Seville (Andalusia) in October 2010. I find it hard to sum up everything about me, but here's a quick overview. I love my family. If I can sit down and chat with you over a glass of wine, we will probably be friends for life. Can't cook but will eat any food if you tell me it's good. I go crazy for soccer/football. I will gladly trade favorite songs with you all night. I strive to enjoy the simple things in life.
PHILOSOPHY
Find what's important to you. Keep it. Take care of it.
"Do what you want; the rest of the world be damned."(Dad)
I like to get lost in the beauty of everything I see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Traveler extraordinaire, Jorge, turned me on to CouchSurfing. I've surfed a few times, and upon arriving in Sevilla, I met a large group of active surfers for a going away party. I also attend a mixed intercambio (Facebook/CS) in Sevilla on Thursday nights--you should come!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed a few nights with an American in southern Spain (Rota)--absolute definition of hospitable.
Met up with CouchSurfers living in Seville for a night of tapas and drinks for a fellow's going away party. Very friendly people who speak a variety of languages.
Stayed with a guy in Madrid who ended up stealing money from one of the girls I was with--this is not the CouchSurfing spirit I had hoped for.
On my return trip, stayed with another guy in Madrid named Javi. He's the absolute epitome of hospitable and generous, and he's not on CS! I hope I can be such a gracious host as him.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacked the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. Watched a sun setting over the Grand Canyon. Played soccer on a beach in Mexico with the locals. Had a conversation and a bottle of wine in the afternoon that didn't finish until it was dark. Shook the hands of numerous American military veterans. Saw the beautiful costumes of Carnival comparsas and danced to the drum beats until my brain vibrated in Badajoz.
Amazing things happen everyday--can you see them?
