About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Eat, drink, and be merry!

My husband and I work crazy hours (day and night,) but we might be able to host if our schedules align! We love meeting new people and would love to tell you the best spots in Montana.

ABOUT ME

I want always want to be on the move, even if it's a simple hike in town! Traveling is my passion along with food, people, reading, and learning. I love to talk and meet new people so feel free to contact me, even just for travel advice.

PHILOSOPHY

Live large and be free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to open my house to anyone who is kind, polite and sincere. I also want to offer any advice that is needed on how to travel on a budget. It can be done!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with amazing people in Europe, Morocco, and around the U.S. and they were so generous with their time and space. Several of them gave up their own bed for me and fed me their own food. I was shocked at the generosity of complete strangers!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music - anything that I can dance to, fall asleep to, laugh to, meditate to or just fall in love with. I love foreign films, dark comedies, and foody movies. I can't even begin to explain my favorite books, but I love philosophy and children's books, (especially Roald Dahl!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I had to jump off a rock face, over a 20 foot crevasse onto a steep snow slope to get off a mountain.

I lived in an animal refuge in Bolivia and slept with monkeys.

In Montana I ran a trail race rated "the most raw exposure" race in the U.S. and one of the greatest races in the world.

As far as traveling goes, I have had some amazing mountaineering experiences, and there is nothing like seeing the world from the top of a mountain. I also got the chance to spend New Year's Eve in Times Square in New York City. I backpacked in Europe and South America by myself and met some of the coolest people in the world. I stared at a billion stars over the Sahara desert. All were awe-inspiring and life-changing at the same time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Assumptions are made all the time, every minute of your day. We assume small things, like our day at work will be normal, our vehicle won't fail us and our house will still be there when we return. We also assume large things, like gravity will not fail us, the sun will rise and we will wake up in the morning. Never take anything for granted, breathe deeply, and smile.
