To explore the global playground rediscovering child-like wonder, awe and joy within and with others.
One day I woke up, and decided to set off on a journey to explore the global playground. That's when I sold everything I owned, except just what I needed to live. Then in December of 2010, I put a few things I thought I needed into a backpack, left Austin, Texas, and headed south.
I have now spent over six years slow traveling throughout the world learning that I do not need much in my backpack. Along my journey, I've had the honor of getting to know so many incredibly beautiful people. People with playful hearts who've shown me the inherent goodness of others, and who've given me a book full of amazing life experiences.
In July of 2015, I left from Canada to go to Iceland from where I've been traveling my way south toward South Africa while trying to see as many countries in-between as possible. Then on to the Middle East and Asia.

I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the more I give the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
How I participate?
I show up and give all that I have to share.
Sometimes that means helping little old ladies dance across the street. If people ask me to join their journey, I willing offer a hand, as well as a shoulder. Sometimes it's just as simple as giving a "free hug," or making eye contact with a stranger, and smiling with my eyes too.
It seems that the essence of CS is to help build an intentional community based on giving and receiving where we can come to trust one another to share the best of ourselves.
For me, it's also an opportunity to connect beyond social-cultural and geopolitical boundaries to what makes us human, and more importantly spiritual beings.
I have been "couchsurfing" for a long time now. Friends, roommate's friends, friends of friends, even the occasional homeless person has spent the night (or a month) on my couch. I have also occasionally spent the night (or a few) on the couches of many loving people well before CS too.
So while I've had plenty of "couchsurfing" experiences in my life, I am looking forward to many more couch surfing experiences by connecting with others through this website.
I enjoy meaningful conversations. Sharing the art of cooking. Discovering where we can find humor and laughter between us.
Also I like: swinging and sliding on playgrounds, rock climbing, DIY, photography, surfing, sillyness, curiosity, languages, indigenous hand crafts, animals, exploring and discovering, journaling, yoga, meditation, poetry slams, coloring outside the lines, volunteering, biking, natural medicine and alternative healing methods, trail running, kite flying, appreciating beauty, live acoustic music, improv, vulnerability, hiking and camping, spontaneity, making things from reclaimed and re-purposed stuff, dancing, self-awareness, circus arts, organic playful movement, organic gardening, composting, wisdom literature, local and seasonal food, accepting what is, singing, surrendering, being present.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love black and whites. I 'm also a documentary fanatic.
I prefer singer-songwriter, independent, indie type music. I especially love acoustic music.
Choose your Own Adventure Number One - The Cave of Time, The Light in the Attic, or The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. All of which I've loved since I was a kid.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sharing my playful heart and inspiring others to do the same.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to teach, learn and share with others how to get out of our heads, be in the moment, trust their intuition, and be open to what can be created in the moment.
